We know that, for some, negative space can feel uncomfortable at first. If you’re one of these people, try not to give in to your initial impulses. Give yourself some time to adjust to the room’s new design. If after a few days the space still feels too empty, consider which parts of the design needs work. Tweak those until you find your perfect balance.
Our Goal for your custom home designs. Our goal is to design a work of art that stands the test of time. We do this by adhering to the age old philosophy form follows function. Remaining true to the chosen style of architecture is also important.
In conjunction with the second option, the third option includes minimizing the number of rooms in a small house. Nothing makes a home more congested than small, choppy, and dysfunctional rooms. Outside of bedrooms, make your living areas as large as the design will allow and consider making some of the spaces multi-purpose. Using these techniques, anyone can succeed at making small home designs look big and live large. It all starts with the design of a good set of house plans.
Mudroom – Provides the homeowner a place to use as a buffer between the outdoors and the homes interior. Mudrooms serve as a docking area to drop off keys, jackets & coats, dirty shoes, umbrellas, and other knick-knack items without dragging these things into the main part of the home. Bonus room – If the floor plan design allows for this, by all means, include this space. A house plans with a bonus room has a built-in addition already included in the design. It gives the homeowners the ability to personalize this room to their liking, with bonus room ideas of their own.
