Bungalow House Plans. Bungalow house plans, including those of the craftsman bungalow style, have been popular in North America since the early 1900s. There are many variations on this plan, including the California Bungalow (a 1 1⁄2-story variation), the Chicago Bungalow, the Michigan Bungalow, the raised Bungalow, and the Ranch Bungalow.
There are other factors to determine the perfect size home. How many bedrooms will you need. More importantly, what are the minimum sizes for each bedroom. Will you need a one-story or two-story home to fit your lot and cover your room requirements?
Add warmth through accents. There’s one key difference between Nordic design and other minimalist spaces: the comfort level. While many minimalist interiors can come off feeling a little too stark or cold, Scandinavian spaces are meant to be warm and inviting. Cozy, comforting accents are the key to that success.
There was once a time when the exterior of homes were conceived before the interior. In general, the typical homes were either a box or rectangle. The exterior only had to be defined as an architectural style during the design process. A simple square, rectangle, or combination of the two were established in a workable overall size and then the rooms were carved out within these forms. This basic theory is still true; however, as time and lifestyles changed this approach to floor plan layouts did as well.
